URLVanish: link management platform

Overview

URLVanish is a full-featured URL shortening and link management platform built and maintained by LovelyPixel. It provides users with branded short links, detailed click analytics, geographic and device breakdowns, and a browser extension for creating short links on the fly.

The platform was built to handle high-traffic volumes reliably while providing meaningful analytics that go beyond simple click counts.

Challenge

Most URL shortening services provide limited analytics, charge premium prices for useful features, or lack the flexibility businesses need for branded links. The goal was to build a platform that:
